Like previous years this year 7th edition of "Meet at Agra" held at Agra from 15 to 17th November 2013 , the fair was inaugurated on 15th November 2013 at 17.00 hrs by Shri J.P Seelam (Honourable Minister of State ( Revenue) , Ministry of Finance , Govt of India) other Dignitaries present on a stage were Padam shree M. Rafaquee Ahmed (President of FIEO) , Shri Rajendra .K. Jalan (Chairman of Counsil for leather exports in India) , Shri Zuhair bin Saghir ( D.M Of Agra ) , Shri J.K Dadoo ( Joint Sec. Deptt of Commerce , Govt. of India) & Shri Atul Chaturvedi ( Joint Sec. DIPP Govt of India).
On 16th November at 10.00 am AFMEC , CLRI & CLE conducted the workshop " Fashion adoption for spring summer 2015 " in presence of Modeurop group followed by Panel Discussion on " Position of India in the Global Footwear Industry" in presence of many Dignitaries. There were 3 big halls consisting of Components In "A" hall , Leather & Components In "B" Hall and Machinery in " C" hall , There were 240 stall all together in 3 halls making participate 200 stalls from Delhi , Kolkata , Chennai , Bangalore , Kanpur , Etc & 40 stalls from Other countries like China,Italy , Pakistan , Bangladesh , Etc. According to AFMEC total business development from this fair can touch the figure of approx 1500 crores this year, there were more than 12000 footfall in fair out of which more than 5500 were business visitors.
This year the main attraction of the Fair was the launching of the new colour trend for the year 2015 by " MODEUROP" group and the announcement of the conference of "Asian Footwear Export Council " to be Held in Agra in 2014. The closing ceremony was held on 17th Nov at 17.00 hrs followed by facilitation of AFMEC members and Smt Anjula Singh Mahore ( State Minister) .
